We have all heard the expression ‘time is money’. This is certainly true for most people working in business or for a business. Human resources are the most important resources for a company and it is a constant challenge to ensure that staff are spending their time getting the best return on investment.
At the Gas Safety Guy we aim to save property managers time (and therefore money) by means of the processes and systems we have in place for receiving, processing, completing, invoicing and following up on work we are given to carry out.
A typical scenario will see our office being sent a work order for a boiler breakdown via email. This is usually dealt with within 24 hours of being received (unless otherwise requested). We will contact the tenant or homeowner directly to arrange access to the property, visit the property to diagnose the fault and promptly relay an estimated cost of work to repair the fault – either by phone or email. We then order the required part and arrange a return visit with the tenant. A job sheet is then issued to the property manager electronically which details the date and nature of the work carried out, along with an invoice. No chasing contractors for completion, no guessing what work has been carried out, no trying to figure out what the invoice is for!
In the case of routine compliance, our admin assistant can schedule this directly with tenants either by telephone, text or email (whichever you prefer), our engineer can attend the call either with or without key access and forward an electronic certificate to the property manager within 48 hours of completion, along with an invoice for the work. This system is working extremely well for some of our corporate clients and could work well for you too.
Some feedback from our property manager clients:
“We use Gas Safety Guy to do annual gas safety certificates, boiler services and emergency boiler fault resolution on a portfolio of properties across Edinburgh. They are quick to respond, reliable, trustworthy and professional. I definitely recommend them. They also do electronic certificates which is much more suitable for our business than the paper ones.”
“We have been using the Gas Safety Guy for landlord gas safety certificates for over half a year now. It is a reliable contractor, dealing with work orders promptly and liaising with tenants independently. They let us know immediately if they identify a potential issue.”
If you are a corporate property manager who is less than delighted with their current gas supplier, why not call us to discuss how you can move forwards with a proactive gas engineering company?
